Description
The slender, purple-green stems of this Vervain are complimented by delicate flowers spikes of tiny lavender-pink flowers throughout summer. Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton' forms a sprawling, light and airy clump that makes a useful addition to sunny borders. It is particularly well suited to cottage gardens and gravel gardens, where it brings an informal, naturalised feel. This hardy perennial shows good drought resistance once established and tolerates challenging coastal locations. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 60cm (24").

How to Grow
Pot up plugs and grow them on in warm, frost free conditions until plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out in their final positions. Plant Verbena outdoors in a sheltered position in any moist, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water plants regularly until they are fully established.In autumn, apply a dry mulch of bark chips or straw to protect the crown of the plant throughout the winter months. Cut back the old stems when new shoots emerge at the base of the plant in spring.
