Sales & Marketing Administrator

We generate over 2 million orders per year marketing our products via our website, catalogues, magazines, newspapers, Amazon, EBay and home shopping TV channels.

We’re currently recruiting for Sales & Marketing Administrator to join our team. Full training will be provided and there are excellent career prospects for the right candidate in this, the fastest growing area of our business. If you are looking for an opportunity to get into a sales environment with ambition to progress, this could be the role for you.

Example tasks include:

  • - Populating marketing spreadsheets with product information including up to date costing information using internal reports
  • - Assisting with planning and set up of new ranges, categories and promotions across all sales channels
  • - Supporting sales and marketing team with updating/ maintaining sales forecast
  • - Monitoring and reporting on competitor pricing and activity
  • - Collating product specification details and sales media for marketing activity including photographgs, VT footage and set props
  • - Daily administration as required

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, enjoy working to deadlines and have first-rate written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in the use of MS Office (notably Excel and Word) is also required. A desire to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

Full-time position 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

We also have a presence in over 800 Garden Centre’s selling several million seed packets across the UK and Europe. With seed ranges sold in English, French and German packets to fulfil thousands of orders every season, our seed production and operations teams are kept busy with a wide range of duties. Our number one focus is offering fantastic service and high quality products to all our customers.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to head up our production and despatch functions across 2 of our Ipswich-based sites. Responsible for making sure our customers receive their orders on time and in accordance to our quality standards, you’ll report directly into the Group Operations Director. You will be responsible for production and operational staff who work across different shifts, with a heavy seasonal workforce in place during our peak periods. You will have direct control and responsibility for resource allocation, budget control, workforce productivity, warehouse management and production planning. You will also be expected to comply with the Company HR, and Health & Safety policies.

This is a hands on role so will not suit a "desk based" manager and at times you will be the most senior person on site so you must be confident, driven and reliable. The right candidate will join the Senior Management team, contributing to the success and leadership of the business through effective team work and decision making. This is a pivotal role for the organisation and as such, we’re looking for the perfect fit of logical thinking, warehouse management experience, people leadership and a get-the-job-done attitude. An understanding of continuous improvement and the ability to challenge the norm are also advantageous attributes.

We are a non-sales environment Contact Centre and deal with inbound calls only. Our Customer Service agents are responsible for every aspect of our customers’ experience, from the initial processing of orders right through to handling enquiries. We receive contact through a range of channels such as telephone, post, email and social media.

Successful candidates will need to be motivated, have excellent communication skills and understand what it means to deliver good service. Previous experience working within customer service will be an advantage but is not essential. If you're a keen gardener, even better!

We are currently recruiting for various hours and shifts, including part time hours, all shift patterns will include an element of weekend working and/or late shifts.
