Thompson & Morgan is known as the expert in flower and vegetable seed market, but over the last few years we’ve grown to also include plants, bulbs, fruit, garden furniture – in fact everything you could want to create a stunning garden for your home. We generate over 2 million orders per year marketing our products via our website, catalogues, press, Amazon, EBay and home shopping TV channels as well as have a very strong garden centre presence.

We’re looking for someone to join our team as an eCommerce Administrator. Our website is a key channel for us and as such we’re always adding new offers and products and continually looking at ways to make improvements. When over 2 million customers interact with us via our website, the detail is crucial. We aim to make website visits for our customers easy and enjoyable so making sure the products, pages and offers are all set correctly is a very important part of the role. Our web team are constantly kept busy so we’re looking for someone who is capable of multitasking at a fast pace and who is prepared to get stuck in, making sure the essential admin tasks are completed to a high standard.

Example tasks include:

  • - Preparing, creating and sending out email newsletters to our customer database
  • - Adding products and sales offers to the website ensuring the detail is correct
  • - Optimising products and key pages to maximize selling opportunities and customer experience
  • - Assisting Online Manager with the day to day running of the company websites by carrying out daily checks and resolving any errors or issues

Candidate Profile:

  • - Able to work quickly, and accurately, with good attention to detail
  • - Self-motivated
  • - Enthusiastic with a positive attitude even when it's busy
  • - A fast learner who is keen to develop their skills
  • - A good communicator, both verbal and written
  • - Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment and prioritising as required
  • - MS Office skills including Word, Excel etc
  • - Experience with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements

Hours of work are typically 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday but flexibility is important especially during our peak trading period.
