Report & Dashboard Developer (T-SQL / SSRS)

As Report & Dashboard Developer, you will develop and support the delivery of projects by effectively managing the underlying databases; To develop new leading-edge reporting solutions for New/Existing projects and migrate existing products onto the new platform when and where applicable for the group of companies.

Working under the guidance of the Data & Business Intelligence Manager you will provide day to day support for internal and external clients covering any of the specialism areas noted above, liaising directly with users when required.

Suitable candidates will have a background in reporting and strong experience of Microsoft technologies - T-SQL / SSRS / SISS and be keen to learn new skills and technologies.

Emphasis should be on support and knowledge transfer rather than 1st line fixer and you will develop and maintain any new reporting platform, writing any supporting documentation. Key duties also include; Gather business requirements from cross functional team; Create technical specification & documentation based on the business requirements.

Essential Experience for the Report & Dashboard Developer Role:

  • Advanced SQL Server Reporting services (SSRS) development skills, Report manager/portal, report builder.
  • Experience with SQL Server (2008 / 2014 / 2016).
  • Visual studio, Power BI.
  • Experience of ETL and or Data Warehousing modelling concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong T-SQL stored procedures, functions, table design.
  • Proven expertise in Excel.
  • Working Knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Strong Data Analysis skills from Business and Technical perspectives.
  • Previous experience in an analytical role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Desirable Experience for the Report & Dashboard Developer Role:

  • Other Business Intelligence Tools.
  • VBA development skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous though not essential.

  • Salary £32,000 to £35,000 (based on experience)

We're currently recruiting for an eCommerce Assistant to join our busy team.

E-commerce is a key channel for us and as such we're always adding new offers and products, and continually looking at ways to make improvements. When over 2 million customers interact with us via our website, the detail is crucial. Operating across multiple marketplaces as well as our own group, our web team are constantly kept busy so we're looking for someone who is capable of multitasking at a fast pace and who is prepared to get stuck in, making sure the essential tasks are completed to a high standard.

Examples of required tasks:

  • Preparing, creating and sending out email newsletters to our customer database
  • Adding products and sales offers to the websites and marketplaces (principally Amazon and eBay)
  • Understanding customer behaviour to optimise products and key pages in order to maximise selling opportunities and customer experience
  • Liaising with agencies to maximise PPC and affiliate sales
  • Reviewing market trends to help ensure continuous improvements of our offering
  • Daily administration as required

Candidate Profile:

  • Able to work quickly, and accurately, with excellent attention to detail
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment and keeping to deadlines
  • A desire to learn and a 'can-do' attitude is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (notably Excel and Word)
  • Experience of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements is desirable but not essential
