With hundreds of scented shrubs to choose from here at Thompson & Morgan it can be difficult to decide on a favourite. Here are three of our favourite fragrant shrubs to assist your selection:

1. Daphne

Daphne 'Perfume Princess' is the world's most scent-sational shrub. It's a slow grower but worth the wait with pretty pink springtime flowers and attractive rounded habit. Or try the RHS award winning Daphne odora 'Aureomarginata' for beautifully scented blooms from January to April and glossy gold-edged leaves.

2. Lilac

Lilac flowers herald the beginning of warmer weather, offering a heady scent and signature colour. Most lilac varieties flower for a few weeks in May and June, but Lilac Dwarf 'Flowerfesta® Pink' provides a bonus bloom again in late summer.

3. Lavender

Lavender plants make attractive low hedging and scented edging for pathways, they're also perfect for pollinators. Here at T&M we offer both French and English varieties. For an English favourite, Lavender ''Hidcote' is hard to beat. Try Lavender 'Fathead' for a French variety that's easy to grow, highly ornamental and an unusual spicy fragrance.
