Second cropping potatoes allow you to grow your own fresh and tasty new potatoes in autumn and winter! These varieties of seed potato are cold stored until late summer to prevent them developing further. Plant them in late summer and they will grow as normal, for cropping around 13 weeks later. The warm summer weather means that they won’t need chitting. Grow them in bags in a frost free greenhouse, and you can enjoy your own home-grown spuds with your Christmas dinner!
