Description
How to Grow
Grown for its outstanding foliage, Oenanthe javanica 'Flamingo' will add a splash of colour to pond margins from as early as March. The finely cut leaves form spreading clumps of tricolour foliage, in pretty shades of rose pink, green and white. Tiny, creamy-white flowers are borne in umbels throughout summer, while the foliage fades to paler tones of pink and green. With the first autumn chills, the leaves of Variegated Water Dropwort become more vibrant once again, extending the season of interest well into autumn. This colourful perennial makes a superb marginal aquatic. Height:40cm (60"). Spread: 90cm (36"). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 12cm (5") below water level.

Grow Oenanthe in moist, boggy soils or fully submerged in ponds to a maximum depth of up to 12cm (5") below water level. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.
More Info Oenanthe needs little maintenance and will look after itself once established. Cut back any excess growth as and when necessary during the growing season.
