Description

Showy yet undemanding, Liatris spicata ‘Floristan Violet’ is ideal for adding vertical accents and valuable late summer colour to borders and prairie planting schemes. Long-lasting fluffy spires of mauve flowers are produced in August and September, attracting clouds of bees and butterflies to the nectar-rich blooms. Unusually, the flowers open from the top downwards! Thriving in a well-drained spot, this easy, drought-tolerant perennial also makes an excellent cut flower. Height: 90cm (35in). Spread: 45cm (18in).
