Hardy Shrub

Ground Cover

Sun or semi shade

Juniperus sabina 'Tamariscifolia' is a low, spreading conifer that forms a carpet of sharp, blue-green, scale like foliage. With maturity, it gains a little height, eventually becoming more mound shaped. This useful evergreen is densely branched, making superb ground cover for suppressing weeds and undergrowth on banks and neglected areas. Like all Savin Junipers, this hardy shrub is easy to grow and needs virtually no maintenance. Height: 1.5m (5'). Spread: 2.5m (8').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
More Info
Water Juniper plants regularly throughout the growing season until fully established. Juniper does not require any pruning. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
