Flower Garden 'Perfect for Pollinators' - Seed Scatter Pack
was £9.29Just£7.99
The Kew Pollinators range of seeds from Thompson and Morgan has been specially created alongside the experts at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to attract and support a wide range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and beetles, as well as a number of other important pollinating insects. Helping these pollinators to thrive is hugely important for our eco-system as a whole and these seeds, in their striking packaging inspired by artwork from the Kew archives, will help to create the environment which they need to thrive, with varieties chosen to help a wide range of pollinating insects, including some night flowering plants to help moths which also play an important part in our gardens.
This traditional cottage garden biennial is at its best when grown en masse in sunny herbaceous borders. Its mauve pink flowers and sweet fragrance make it irresistible to gardeners and pollinating insects alike! Once established, Hesperis will seed freely to create meandering, perfumed drifts. Sweet Rocket, as it is commonly known, has a naturally informal feel that lends itself beautifully to cottage gardens and wildlife areas. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").
Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. For more details about edible flowers click here.

1 Packet (500 Seeds) (KB7565)
Direct sow Hesperis from May to July in a spare nursery bed, for transplanting into their final positions in autumn. Choose a site in sun or semi-shade on fertile, well-drained soil. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing 1cm (½") deep, in rows 30cm (12") apart. Germination takes 14-21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out plants to 30cm (12") apart. Plants can be transplanted to their final positions in autumn.
Alternatively mix the seed with another annual wild flower and scatter thinly when sowing your wild flower border or meadow. Thin out as necessary.
