Description

Rhodanthemum hosmariense 'Zagora Orange' is a delightful perennial that brings a vibrant touch of color to sunny borders and container gardens. This compact, mounding plant features finely divided, silvery-grey leaves that create a stunning backdrop for its striking orange, daisy-like flowers. These blooms, which emerge in abundance from late spring through early autumn, are characterized by their bright orange petals and cheerful yellow centers, ensuring a long-lasting display that enlivens any garden setting.

The plant's fern-like foliage not only enhances its visual appeal but also provides year-round texture and interest, making it a valuable addition to various landscaping designs. With its neat, rounded form, Rhodanthemum hosmariense 'Zagora Orange' is particularly well-suited for front-of-border placements or as a charming feature in rock gardens. Its compact size, reaching a height of approximately 30 cm (1 ft) and a spread of about 40 cm (1.3 ft), allows it to fit seamlessly into smaller spaces while still making a bold statement.

Once established, this perennial exhibits excellent drought tolerance, making it an ideal choice for gravel gardens or Mediterranean-style planting schemes. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, conditions that not only support its growth but also attract a variety of pollinators, including bees and butterflies. Hardy in the UK when planted in well-drained environments, Rhodanthemum hosmariense 'Zagora Orange' is a resilient and visually captivating option for gardeners seeking to enhance their outdoor spaces with a burst of color and life.
