A particularly lovely variety of a classic herbaceous perennial. Helleborus niger ‘Christmas Carol’ bears gleaming white blooms with a central crown of prominent yellow stamens. Flowering from December through to mid spring, and often over the festive period, the blooms gradually develop a pink flush as they mature. Enjoy this evergreen perennial year after year. This Hellebore makes a fabulous addition to shaded borders where it will also attract pollinating insects to the garden. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Please note, your hellebore plants will be supplied in a plastic pot as shown in the 'how your plants will arrive' image.

Flowering Months
Mulch hellebore plants with well rotted manure or garden compost each spring. Hellebores resent disturbance after planting and may take some time to re-establish. However when clumps become overcrowded, lifting and dividing of hellebores should be undertaken immediately after flowering. Caution: Hellebore sap may irritate the skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
Grow hellebores in neutral or alkaline soil, in dappled shade. Hellebores prefer a moist, humous rich, fertile soil that does not dry out in summer or sit waterlogged in winter. When growing hellebores on heavy clay or free draining gravel soils, add plenty of well rotted leaf mould or other organic matter to the soil prior to planting.
