Description

You thought this was a grass, didn’t you? You might be surprised to learn that it is actually a hardy perennial, closer related to Cordylines and Aloes! Lomandra ‘White Sands’ is the very first variegated cultivar, boasting slender, cream and green foliage that arches beautifully outwards. This eye-catching evergreen provides superb year-round colour and structure in the garden, adding colour, movement and texture.

It’s not just a pretty face either. As you might expect from an outback native, this tough perennial soldiers on through heat, drought and freezing temperatures down to -10C (14F). In fact, there’s very little that phases Lomandra. It’s a quick grower too, making a superb landscaping plant for creating tough, resilient ground cover.

Be one of the first to grow this exciting new plant! Plant it in pots, borders, gravel gardens and coastal positions – in fact, Lomandra’ White Sands’ will grow almost anywhere in sun or semi shade. Height: 70cm (28"). Spread: 100cm (39").
