Description
Renowned for their eye-catching spring colour, Forsythia x intermedia ‘Mini Gold’ is no exception, becoming absolutely smothered in dazzling yellow flowers from March onwards! Unlike common Forsythia, this exceptional cultivar has a neat compact growth habit, reaching just 1.2m (4’) at maturity. A lovely specimen plant for patio containers, Forsythia ‘Mini Gold’ also works well in borders for spring interest. Height and spread: 120cm (47").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Forsythia plants in moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade.
More Info
Feed and water Forsythia plants regularly until fully established. Container grown plants will require annual dressing with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser and regular watering throughout the summer months. Border grown plants will require less attention. In late spring after flowering has finished, prune Forsythia by cutting back all flowered shoots to a healthy pair of leaves. On established Forsythia plants, cut back up to a fifth of the oldest shoots to their base, to encourage healthy new growth and improve flowering. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
