Description

Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii 'Shorty' is a smaller version of Euphorbia characias, perfect for containers or to add all-year-round structure at the front or middle of the border.

Linear, blue-green leaves grow in whorls around strong, upright stems and are topped by clusters of acid yellow flowers from March to May. Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii 'Shorty' adds a zesty punch of colour to wake up spring borders and is a fantastic accompaniment to spring bulbs and early perennials.  Plants continue to provide foliage interest and structure through the rest of the season. An evergreen subshrub, Euphorbia ‘Shorty’ suits hot, dry sites and rockeries, demonstrating excellent drought tolerant once established. The spring flowers provide a valuable source of early food for pollinators. Height: 50- 90cm (20-35in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
