A free flowering deciduous shrub for your garden, Cytisus x praecox 'Allgold' is smothered in spring with the brightest of yellow flowers. This Broom also has an attractive grey-green foliage throughout the growing season which makes it an ideal plant for the back of a border to help show off your other specimens. Easy to maintain too, requiring a minimal amount of effort to produce spectacular displays every year! Height: 150cm (59"). Spread 150cm (59").

How to Grow

Plant Broom into garden borders in fertile, well drained garden soil, in full shade Cytisus is a very useful shrub, which can also tolerate poor soils, or planting onto sloping ground.

Broom should be trimmed back during May, after plants have flowered. You can also rejuvenate Broom plants over a 3 year period by pruning out a third of the branches each year, again after flowering.
