Description
This unusual deciduous shrub is rarely seen in UK gardens. Commonly known as the button bush, Cephalanthus occidentalis bears creamy-white, rounded, button-like flowers from late summer to autumn, with powerful fragrance. The blooms are followed by spherical golden brown fruits that extend its season of interest well into winter. Both the blooms and the fruits are attractive to wildlife, making this a useful addition to wildlife areas. Height: 200cm (78”). Spread: 250cm (98”).
