Who said that Blueberries are always blue? Blueberry ‘Pink Lemonade’ breaks all the rules, producing generous crops of deep pink berries with a delicious, sweet flavour. The pale pink, spring flowers make an attractive display against a backdrop of rich green foliage. Small green berries replace the fading flowers, slowly ripening through pale pink to an appealing shade of dark rose-pink in late summer.
This bushy, deciduous shrub makes an attractive addition to your kitchen garden, but works just as well in mixed borders and patio pots. With a neat, upright habit and good autumn colour, it offers plenty of seasonal interest. Like all Blueberries, this variety is self-fertile but will produce heavy and more reliable crops if grown in pairs for improved pollination. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Blueberries require a well drained, acid soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow blueberry plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3.
More Info If possible, blueberries should be watered with rainwater because the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Blueberries will begin to produce fruit in their third year. As fruits begin to develop, cover the plants with netting to protect the berries from birds. From their third year, begin to prune out the oldest stems each autumn to promote new growth and maintain a healthy plant framework.
