Opposite of Tardis? 2016-07-13
Arrived today in box about 40cm long. What a surprise when opened. Should have looked at ALL pictures! The plant is about 8 cm tall - nothing like the majority of the pictures but hoping the T & M reputation will encourage it to grow. Certainly looks healthy but will have to be careful not to weed it!

Disappointed with size and performance 2016-05-14
I know you get what you pay for but we were disappointed with the size of the ferns we received (we bought 2 together) and having overwintered them in the greenhouse were expecting great things this spring but sadly far from expectations, no new growth dispite our best ministrations!

Responds well to a little TLC! 2016-04-09
My ferns arrived in good condition and I potted them on immediately into 6" pots containing a home-made, bark-based compost and with a few chicken manure pellets added. After a little 'die-back' I removed any withered fronds and put the ferns into a shady spot by my pond, where they seem to like the dappled shade. Subsequent blustery wind and a short, daily period of direct sunlight did cause some scorching, but selecting a more sheltered, low-lying position and misting about three times a week have resulted in the ferns tripling in size in four weeks, with the unfurling of beautiful bright green fronds, some of which are tinged orange. I shall over-winter them carefully in situ and transplant them into large pots next spring. These have been a great addition to my garden.

Size isn't everything but sometimes it helps 2016-02-26
As others have described I was very disappointed with the size of the plant received. It didn't remotely resemble the picture; you can generally get an idea of the plant size by the size of the plant pot it is in - but this was definitely over-potted! I was expecting a lot more from you.

Nice ferns - quite slow growing? 2016-02-12
I received my ferns back in the summer and potted them in a shady area. They have only grown quite slowly since then, and are still relatively small. They have just turned brown and now I'm wondering if the recent ice might have killed them off - could someone advise whether this is normal? Thanks
T&M replied on 2016-12-02: Thank you very much for your review. I am glad that you have been happy with your purchase. I can confirm Ferns will naturally turn brown and die back in the winter so this is nothing to be concerned with. Pack in some fresh compost round the base of the plants and allow your Fern to due back completely and fresh fronds will form in the spring. I hope we can continue to be of service to you in the future.
After waiting since July for these, they arrived without any clear/specific instructions about caring for tree ferns and as Janette says, are extremely small plants. If I'd seen these in a garden centre I wouldn't have paid this much for such small plants. I hope they develop into something a bit more spectacular next year.

NOT Disappointed BUT...! 2015-10-19
Small plants .Care leaflet inappropriate for species. Necessary to go to Website. O.K. but would be interested to know how long before plant produces the 28in. fronds as described in your catalogue 1yr? 10yrs? I should live that long!!! THOMPSON & MORGAN
T&M replied on 2015-10-21: Thank you for your review. I apologise that the correct cultural information was omitted and have made the relevant department aware. I can confirm that the fronds get bigger each year, depending on growing conditions and they should be reaching their full potential by their third year. If you have any further queries please contact our Customer Care Department at email@example.com, one of our agents will be more than happy to help.
Would pay more for older plant. 2015-10-10
Looking forward to my 9cm pot maturing. I would be interested in buying an older plant though. Images of older specimens look fantastic. Leaving small plant outside, in pot to over winter to harden off and if it survives I will be confident planting it out next year.
