Description
Weigela 'Nain Rouge' has a dwarf rounded habit with gently cascading branches that are covered in bloom from May to June. The bright red tubular flowers stand out beautifully against the dense, dark green foliage. As summer ends, this dwarf deciduous shrub turns to autumn shades of red and orange in a final burst of colour. Compact and easy to grow in containers, borders or at the edge of woodland plantings. Height and spread: 90cm (36").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 3.5 litre potted weigela plant (62093)
1 x 10 litre potted weigela plant (74396)
2 x 10 litre potted weigela plants (T74397P)
2 x 3.5 litre potted weigela plants (T62171P)

How to Grow
Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
