Description
If you're looking for a real eye-catching and striking plant that lasts for a long period of time, look no further. Weigela All Summer Red 'Slingco 1' provides just that. Lush red, funnel-shaped flowers start appearing from mid-spring, but from early summer the flowers intensify, continuing right the way through to mid-autumn. Not to mention the intense green leaves that create a wonderful backdrop to the flowers. The plants are compact enough to be grown in a pot, but look equally as good in the front of a border too. It's literally the shrub that just keeps on giving! Height & Spread: 75cm (30").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 9cm potted weigela plant (KA0661)
1 x 3.6 litre potted weigela plant (66522)
2 x 9cm potted weigela plants (KA0662)
2 x 3.6 litre potted weigela plants (67014)

How to Grow
Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
