Description
Often mistaken for a buddleja, but Vitex is far more refined. This stunning deciduous shrub is cloaked in palmate, grey-green foliage which is gently aromatic. Vitex agnus-castus 'Delta Blues' produces branching sprays of dark purple-blue, fragrant flowers at the stem tips in autumn which prove highly attractive to butterflies and insects. With an upright, bushy habit, this new variety is a great improvement on previous selections. Vitex makes a superb addition to sunny borders, bringing a gentle splash of colour late in the season. Height and spread: 3m (10').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

2 x 3.6 litre potted vitex plants (TKA3061)

How to Grow
Plant out Vitex into any moist, well drained soil in full sun. Vitex are generally tough plants and will thrive in most conditions provided the soil isn't dry. In frost prone areas, shelter from cold, drying winds.
More Info
Feed and water Vitex plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Vitex require only occasional attention. Prune annually for a more compact look.
