Description
If you're looking for a Viburnum which isn't invasive and doesn't produce such a vast amount of flowers and berries as other varieties, you're in the right place. Viburnum opulus 'Nanum' is an attractive deciduous shrub that develops a pleasing round, mounded habit when mature. This particular shrub is popular with gardeners who don't have a vast amount of space and are looking for a plant with a variety of colours throughout the year. Small green maple-like leaves turn yellow, red and deep purple in autumn. Listed on the RHS's list of Plants for Pollinators. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 75cm (30").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Viburnum opulus in any moist, but well drained garden soil in full sun or partial shade. Plants will tolerate exposed and coastal areas quite successfully too.
More Info
Viburnum opulus require minimal pruning, you should only trim plants to fit the available space, or to remove any dead or damaged growth. This should be done during the spring. Plants will also tolerate a harder, regenerate prune if they become poor shaped after a few years.
