Description

Streptocarpus Harrogate Collection bursts with colour and charm, featuring six diverse patterns and shades, including the much sought-after RHS Award of Garden Merit winners ‘Falling Stars’ and ‘Gloria’, both celebrated for producing hundreds of stunning blooms. These Cape Primroses are perfect houseplants, offering clusters of exotic flowers on slender stems above rosettes of textured green leaves for at least nine months from spring to autumn. Compact yet spectacular, they fit beautifully on narrow shelves or brighten a sunny windowsill or conservatory, creating an eye-catching focal point. Striking, resilient, and easy to grow, Streptocarpus Harrogate Collection is ideal for both beginners and experienced gardeners, delivering colour and interest year after year.

Streptocarpus Harrogate Collection contains the following varieties:

How to Grow

March to September

Place your Streptocarpus in a bright spot in indirect light out of the midday sun. Do not expose to hot, direct sunlight. An east or west-facing windowsill is perfect. About once a week water sparingly when the compost begins to dry out, keeping plants on the dry side. Never leave them to sit in water. Overwatering can be fatal. Feed weekly with a high potash tomato feed which will boost flower production. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. As the plant grows, repot as necessary in spring into a slightly larger pot.

October to February

Move to a south facing windowsill if possible. Keep drier over the winter, only watering occasionally and sparingly when the compost dries out. Don’t feed. Remove any dead leaves and debris to minimise the chance of pests and diseases.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
