Description

Rose ‘Caroline Quentin’ is a beautifully crafted new variety, named in celebration of actress, presenter and devoted gardener Caroline Quentin. Inspired by her lifelong passion for gardening and creative expression, the rose reflects her signature style: romantic, artistic and deeply connected to the joy of outdoor living.

As part of the launch, Thompson & Morgan is proud to support St Peter’s Hospice, a charity close to Caroline’s heart. For every rose sold, £1 is donated directly to the hospice, helping fund essential care and support for individuals and families facing life-limiting illness.

This elegant Hybrid Tea bush rose produces exquisitely soft pink double blooms with an intensely rich, classic fragrance. Flowering abundantly from June through to October, it delivers long-lasting colour and scent throughout the season.

Combining beauty with reliability, Rose ‘Caroline Quentin’ offers strong disease resistance and a dependable repeat-flowering habit, making it as easy to grow as it is rewarding. Its long-stemmed blooms are ideal for cutting, bringing luxurious fragrance indoors, while in the garden it creates a romantic, eye-catching display.

Perfect for seasoned rose lovers and beginners alike, this variety performs beautifully in borders, mixed plantings, or as a standout feature. Ultimate height and spread: 60cm (24in).

*Full price sales of roses are eligible for the £1 donation to St Peter’s Hospice. Discounted or promotional sales are excluded from this contribution.

How to Grow
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late winter, begin pruning shrub roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce strong young stems by up to a third of their length. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
