Description
Sometimes simple is best. With Rose 'Fairy Queen' you will get a delicate, simple structured bloom with a light fragrance that will repeat flower all through the summer and autumn. The bright red flowers will add a touch of cheerfulness and a splash of colour wherever you plant it. A solid and reliable rose that will bring guaranteed results year after year. Height: 150cm (59"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Companion planting: Try growing roses with garlic, chives, thyme or mint to help deter aphids and blackfly.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
More Info
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer, begin pruning hybrid musk roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems by ⅔. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
