Description

Quercus × turneri 'Pseudoturneri' is a handsome hybrid oak that brings timeless structure and evergreen interest to any garden. A cross between the English oak and the Holm oak, it combines the classic shape and stature of native oaks with glossy, semi-evergreen foliage that remains attractive throughout the year. Its rounded, conical form adds a sense of elegance and permanence, making it an ideal focal point for large gardens, parklands, or avenue planting.

This tree is well-regarded for its ability to tolerate urban pollution and coastal exposure, thriving even in challenging environments. Its tough, leathery leaves resist wind and salt, while its slow, steady growth ensures a strong, long-lived presence in the landscape. The foliage often stays through the winter in milder areas, adding year-round greenery and supporting wildlife with its spring catkins.

Low maintenance and reliable, 'Pseudoturneri' suits both formal and naturalistic planting schemes. Whether used as a majestic standalone specimen or integrated into a larger tree canopy, it provides excellent shade and seasonal interest. Fully hardy in the UK, it reaches a height of 1200?cm (39?ft) and a spread of 800?cm (26?ft), promising enduring beauty and performance in a wide range of settings.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
