Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
Muscari is a popular spring bulb that is probably one of the easiest to grow - a clump of grape hyacinths will gradually spread over the years to form a carpet of vivid blue flowers that look stunning planted in a woodland setting or with other spring bulbs needing virtually no maintenance. Simply divide the clumps from time to time so you can enjoy this vibrant little bulbs elsewhere in your garden too. Bulb size: 6/7

Culinary note: The flowers can be sprinkled over desserts to add a delicate scented flavour. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Flowering Months
Allow the foliage of Muscari plants to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs for the following year. Overcrowded clumps can be lifted and divided in summer while the bulbs are dormant.
For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 5cm (2") apart.
