Description

See in spring with beautiful Hellebore ‘Hello White’. Bursting into bloom in late winter, these characteristically resilient and tough plants are always an admirable sight as they brave the winter chill, displaying their long-lasting ornate flowers whatever the weather. Versatile, undemanding and unfussy, these plants grow well in most conditions from dappled shade, rough grassy areas, pots and sunny borders, returning reliably every year for another fabulous show. Not only do their pretty speckled flowers provide interest from the very start of the season which they hang on to through most of the spring, but they provide nectar for early-emerging bees too. Height: 40cm (16”). Spread: 40cm (16’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow hellebores in neutral or alkaline soil, in dappled shade. Hellebores prefer a moist, humus rich, fertile soil that does not dry out in summer or sit waterlogged in winter. When growing hellebores on heavy clay or free draining gravel soils, add plenty of well rotted leaf mould or other organic matter to the soil prior to planting.
More Info
Water regularly until established. Mulch hellebores with well rotted manure or garden compost each spring. Hellebores resent disturbance after planting and may take some time to re-establish. However when clumps become overcrowded, lifting and dividing of hellebores should be undertaken immediately after flowering. Caution: Hellebore sap may irritate the skin and eyes. All parts are harmful if eaten.
