Flowering Months
Description
Hellebores are a real treat for the eyes during the cold winter months. Flowering from February to April, the double flowers in this superb mix provide a tapestry of different colours, flower shapes and markings. These hardy evergreen perennials form neat clumps of palmate foliage that remains attractive all year round. Perfect for the front of winter perennial borders, planting in mixed containers on the patio, or grown in the dappled shade of trees. Height and spread: 40cm (16").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 1 litre potted hellebore plant (82160)

How to Grow
Plant hellebores in neutral or alkaline soil, in dappled shade. Hellebores prefer a moist, humus rich, fertile soil that does not dry out in summer or sit waterlogged in winter. When growing hellebores on heavy clay or free draining gravel soils, add plenty of well rotted leaf mould or other organic matter to the soil prior to planting.
More Info
Mulch hellebore plants with well rotted manure or garden compost each spring. Hellebores resent disturbance after planting and may take some time to re-establish. However when clumps become overcrowded, lifting and dividing of hellebores should be undertaken immediately after flowering. Caution: Hellebore sap may irritate the skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
