Description
A superb choice for coastal areas where bearing masses of fragrant, golden, pea-like flowers that will brighten the garden from March to April. Genista 'Porlock' forms a rounded, spreading mound of stems decorated with tiny silver-green leaves that remain semi-evergreen in winter. This RHS AGM Broom forms excellent ground cover for banks and open locations. It makes a colourful specimen shrub in borders and rockeries, where it will require virtually no maintenance once established. Height and spread: 250cm (98").

How to Grow
Grow Broom plants in any light, well-drained soil in full sun. Genista is tough and resilient, even thriving in poor, sandy soils.

Genista plants require very little maintenance, simply trim plants lightly after flowering to keep them dense and bushy.
