Description

Foxglove 'Arctic Fox Rose' is a captivating perennial that stands out in any garden with its delicate soft pink hues and impressive blooming duration. This variety has been specifically cultivated for its resilience and dependable performance, making it a favorite among gardeners. The plant produces tall, elegant spikes adorned with rose-pink, tubular flowers that feature a pale throat and charming speckled markings, reminiscent of the traditional Digitalis purpurea. However, unlike its counterparts, these flowers are sterile, which significantly extends their flowering period, allowing for a vibrant display from late spring through summer and often into early autumn.

Bred from the hybrid Digitalis × valinii, 'Arctic Fox Rose' boasts a lineage that combines hardiness with heat tolerance, making it well-suited for a variety of climates. This foxglove not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of gardens but also plays a crucial role in supporting local ecosystems. Its blooms attract bees and other pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife gardens. The sterile nature of the flowers means that the plant focuses its energy on producing more blooms rather than setting seeds, ensuring a continuous and stunning floral display throughout the growing season.

Ideal for borders, cottage gardens, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes, 'Arctic Fox Rose' thrives in moist yet well-drained soil and prefers locations that receive full sun or partial shade. Its hardiness allows it to flourish in most regions of the UK, making it a versatile addition to any garden. Whether you are looking to create a vibrant floral border or enhance a wildlife habitat, this foxglove variety is sure to bring beauty and life to your outdoor space. With its striking appearance and ecological benefits, 'Arctic Fox Rose' is a delightful choice for both novice and experienced gardeners alike. Height: 90 cm (3 ft). Spread: 60 cm (2 ft).
