Description
Glossy green leaves with a silvery dusted underside densely cover this hardy evergreen shrub. Elaeagnus x ebbingei is an easy to grow, fast to establish plant that will need very little attention once it is in your garden. Ideal for planting in a shrubbery, at the back of a border or even as part of a hedge, Silverberry has small white flowers in late summer and early autumn which add a touch of fragrance to the air too. Height: 400cm (157"). Spread 400cm (157").

How to Grow
Grow Elaeagnus shrubs in any type of soil, as long as it is well-drained. Although plants can be a little discoloured on chalky soils. Elaeagnus can tolerate an exposed, coastal position, or very dry soil, and is very hardy.

Plants do not require very much care, simply prune them after flowering to shape, and remove any dead or damaged growth.
