Description
Expert Recommendation from Peter Freeman - "This shrub deserves every part of its RHS award; not only is it easy to grow but the flowers and the foliage provide stunning colours to the garden border all the way into autumn. The flowers are the most blue I have ever seen – a cracking plant!"

This popular deciduous shrub well deserves its RHS AGM. Wiry red-tinted stems play host to a profusion of cobalt-blue flowers from August to October. As autumn progresses the green summer foliage turns to vivid shades of burnt orange and red, bringing a welcome splash of colour to fading borders. Ceratostigma willmottianum 'Forest Blue' is a low, spreading shrub that merits a prominent position toward the front of a sunny border or even planted against a wall. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow

More Info
Ceratostigma plants require little maintenance throughout the year. Simply cut back the stems to within 3cm (1") of the previous year’s growth in early spring.
