Description
Ceanothus 'Italian Skies' is an RHS AGM variety boasting glossy, dark green leaves and a mass of deep blue flowers in in April and May. This medium sized shrub makes a useful addition to borders, providing late spring colour and evergreen structure throughout the year. Like all Ceanothus, it is loved by pollinating insects and always busy with the hum of bees. Perfect for a sunny spot in the garden, where it will create a lovely backdrop for summer perennials. Height: 150cm (59”). Spread: 250cm (98”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 20 litre potted ceanothus plant (KB9222)

How to Grow
Plant Californian Lilac into any fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold, drying winds. Ceanothus may be grown as a free standing specimen or trained against a wall or fence.
More Info
During spring each year, trim back the previous year’s flowered stems to within 2 or 3 buds of the woody framework.
