The classic common daisy, with single white petals and yellow centres over rosettes of evergreen, spoon-shaped leaves. These cheerful daisies are a common feature of wildflower lawns where they combine beautifully with naturalised spring bulbs such as crocus and daffodils.
This native wildlife provides an invaluable food source for pollinators plus a host of other minibeasts and mammals. Bellis ‘Single White’ also makes a dainty display in containers and along border edges in informal, cottage-style gardens. Height and Spread: 15cm (6”).
Culinary note: Bellis flowers are edible. Using masses of individual petals makes a colourful garnish for soups and salads. Useful for decorating cakes and biscuits too. For more details about edible flowers click here.
