Description
This large, vigorous Japanese Anemone brings an elegant display to the back of borders. Graceful, slender stems carry understated semi-double blooms. The pristine white flowers of Anemone x hybrida 'Whirlwind' are perfect for illuminating lightly shaded borders and woodland edges. The dark green, palmate foliage is attractive too, forming spreading, rounded clumps. This handsome perennial needs little maintenance, but will quickly become indispensible for reinvigorating your perennial borders in late summer. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 100cm (39").

How to Grow
Plant your Anemone plants out on moist, fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. Plants are generally unfussy and, once established, will last for years, although try to avoid excessive winter wet.

Cut back anemone flowers as they fade. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of anemones in spring or autumn. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
