Acorus gramineus 'Variegatus' produces showy aromatic, semi-evergreen leaves with superb green and white variegation. This clump forming hardy perennial creates wide fans of foliage that make an eye catching feature in bog gardens or overhanging ponds at the water’s edge. Slender Sweet Flag has a distinctly grassy appearance that adds texture and colour to planting schemes, but remains neat, compact and trouble free. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 35cm (14"). Planting depth: Zone 1 & 2 to 5cm depth.

How to Grow

Plant Acorus in reliably moist borders or boggy soil at the edge of ponds. Slender Sweet Flag can be planted to a maximum depth of 5cm (2") below water level. Choose a position in full sun.

Acorus plants require little maintenance. Tidy foliage that has died back in Autumn by trimming to just above the water surface.
