Description
Deep plum-purple flowers appear in spring above the evergreen foliage of Vinca minor 'Atropurpurea'. This attractive Lesser Periwinkle is less vigorous than its larger cousin Vinca major, making it easier to confine to its allotted space. Vinca are perfect for filling tricky spots where little else grows. Ideal for creating weed suppressing ground cover in almost any position, from sunny banks to dark, shady corners. Height: 20cm (8") Spread: 50cm (19").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Vinca plants in borders outdoors in any moist, well drained soil. Periwinkle is a particularly tough plant, and will thrive in any garden position, provided that the soil isn’t dry.
More Info
Feed and water Vinca plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established Vinca plants require only occasional attention. Pruning Periwinkle is best undertaken in spring when they can be cut back hard to restrict their growth. Caution: harmful if eaten.
