Description
Known more commonly as Variegated Greater Periwinkle, this plant is less 'aggressive', yet still as vigorous as Vinca minor. It has fantastic variegated evergreen leaves, painted dark green with creamy-white margins. Used as a groundcover perennial, Vinca major 'Variegata' is the perfect plant to occupy large areas of ground or sloping banks that are difficult to mow and maintain. It flowers best in full sun but grows just about anywhere on a whole range of soils. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 75cm (30").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant out Vinca major into any moist, well drained soil. Periwinkle is a particularly tough plant and will thrive in any garden position, provided that the soil isn't dry.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Feed and water Vinca plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Vinca require only occasional attention. Pruning Periwinkle is best undertaken in spring when they can be cut back hard to restrict their growth.
