Sowing

Sow April to May in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost, 1/16 Inch (1.5mm) deep, in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 60-65F (15-18C). Germination usually takes 14-30 days.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. When well rooted, plant 23cm (9in) apart in nursery rows and plant out into final position in autumn or spring 60cm (24in) apart, in full sun.

Prefers a well drained soil.
