These fabulous peony-flowered Tulips produce a jaw-dropping display of fragrant, colour-changing blooms in spring. Extravagant, double flowers open in a rich shade of orange-red, and gradually fade through warming tones of coral and peachy-yellow as they age. Tulip 'Gudoshnik Double' produces particularly large blooms, so it will benefit from a sheltered spot in the garden. A real beauty for prominent patio pots where they can be truly admired! You may want to grow a few extra for a breath-taking spring bouquet. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 15cm (6").

Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.
More Info After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
