Tradescantia zebrina is a particularly eye-catching house plant. The trailing stems are covered with extraordinary silver-striped leaves, each with a shocking-pink underside. This cheery little plant will happily spill over the sides of its pot to create a cascade of colour. If that’s not enough, then it will also produce pretty purple-pink flowers sporadically throughout the year, which always come as a lovely surprise. Reliable and easy to grow, this Silver Inch Plant makes a great choice for an indoor hanging basket. Height and spread: 40cm (16").

Position Tradescantia in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with an average temperature of 18C (65F) - 27C (80F). For the best leaf colour, choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of direct sun.
More Info Water frequently to maintain evenly moist compost. Avoid leaving Tradescantia in standing water as this may cause it to rot. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Tradescantia will benefit from regular misting to increase humidity and prevent the leaf edges drying out.
