Flowering Months

Commonly known as String of Hearts and it’s easy to see why! The long, trailing stems are adorned with evergreen heart-shaped leaves – each variegated with silver and green above and dark purple undersides. Throughout summer, this tuberous, succulent perennial produces unusual lantern-shaped, pink flowers but this indoor plant is primarily grown for its foliage and trailing habit. Perfect for planting in indoor hanging baskets in a semi-shaded position, or placed on a high shelf where the stems can hang freely. Ceropegia linearis subsp. woodii is undemanding and easy for beginner growers. Trails to: 100cm (39"). Spread: 10cm (4").

How to Grow

Position in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 10C (50F). Choose a bright, partially shaded position away from the direct glare of hot sun.

More Info

Ceropegia requires regular watering in summer, allowing the compost to drain thoroughly afterwards. Avoid leaving String of Hearts in standing water as this will cause plant rot. Reduce watering in winter, keeping the compost barely moist. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Large Non-standard items may incur a higher, lorry delivery charge. Charges will be calculated at checkout, but an example of the lorry charges are listed below.
