Flowering Months

Thalictrum aquilegifolium is a delicate-looking, airy plant which boasts both beautiful foliage and unusual fluffy flowers. The bluish-green, divided foliage is held in elegant tiers, resembling a Maidenhair fern. In June and July, slender, upright stems burst into dainty, cloud-like puffs of pinkish-mauve flowers. Perfect for a shady border in reliably moist soil. Height: 1m (40”). Spread: 45cm (18”).

How to Grow

Grow in partial shade, in humus-rich, reliably moist soil. In winter, plants completely disappear into the ground and are late to start growth in the spring so it's advisable to mark their position in order to avoid damaging the plants when cultivating nearby.
