Water strawberries frequently throughout the growing season. When growing strawberry plants in baskets and containers, they will also need feeding every two weeks. Tie the long runners onto their supports with soft twine or garden ties. Protect the developing fruit from slugs and snails by spreading straw around the base of each plant. Positioning a net over the plants will also prevent crop damage by birds. The netting and straw can be removed after cropping to allow better air flow around the crown of the plant. Cut back the long runners in autumn and remove any old, damaged or decaying foliage. Mulch strawberry plants with well rotted manure in spring.

Although strawberry plants will continue to fruit in successive years, the crop will become considerably reduced and it is advisable to completely replace strawberry plants every 3 years.

On arrival soak bare roots for 30 minutes in water or in a seaweed solution before planting out. Plant climbing strawberry plants in well manured, free draining soil in full sun. Alternatively try growing strawberry plants in hanging baskets, window boxes and patio containers. Provide a suitable support to train the long runners onto.

Still picking on the 5th October in Fife 2015-05-10

Bought five plants this year. Excellent taste smell and size. Picked one this morning which was 6cm long and very plump. If it was possible to show a pic with the tape measure I would We grew these in a poly tunnel with a few canes and let them do there own thing. What a harvest. We took cuttings and got a few strawberries on these too. Best Buy this year by far.

Got five plants this year and although they were very late I'm still getting fruit now. The smell taste and size are amazing. Grew them in a poly tunnel with a few canes although I didn't train them to climb. Left them to do there own thing. Best Buy this year. If was able to post a picture I would. Took a picture of one I picked today 5th October and it's 6cm and very plump.

Something different 2014-04-14

Arrived on time, well packaged, and so far have shown good growth potential. As the previous review suggests its not strictly climbing. So expect to tie it down. Over time this might prove to be an issue as depending on the growth and how many plants you have the maintenence might be problematic. That said, i have got a bamboo cone support which i have attached 3 plants to. I suspect if they get that tall it will be an incredible spectacle.

Excellent for hanging baskets 2013-08-24

First time purchase, - reasonable first years fruit but the flavour is outstanding and I am still picking. Far far better than El Sante which is usually the better taste from the shops - no more!!! Mine have been in a hanging basket and has worked really well. Need to buy more baskets for next year!

Not quite climbing but definitely everbearing 2013-01-25

Not strictly climbing, but Mount Everest produces long runner tendrils that can be tied up. Beware, these are no barrier to slugs and snails, who've been performing amazing acrobatics to get at the fruit - so you still need to put down slug deterrent. What this strawberry definitely is is healthy, tough and everbearing, to the point that it has continued to fruit in in winter.

wanted to buy these for a few years, so this year with all the rain everything is admittedly slower, but they have produce already quite a lot of strawberries for their first year, and with growing upwards up a frame - I used the frame I used for some flowers few years ago. but it means they grow in a compact area - so will be increasing this next year as less slug damage especially with the new ones thats in this country
