Description
Rowan trees make fine specimen trees for smaller gardens and confined spaces. Sorbus aucuparia 'Ember Glow' boasts dark blue-green, pinnate foliage that forms a handsome canopy in summer. The leaves are transformed to brilliant shades of red, orange and bronze in autumn. This attractive deciduous tree is bejewelled with round, deep red berries which last well into winter. The berries retain their colour well, rather than fading to white, as is seen in many varieties. Sorbus trees are extremely adaptable, coping well with most sites and soils. Height: 6m (19'). Spread: 4m (13').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

2 x 12 litre potted sorbus trees (KA2130)

How to Grow
Grow Sorbus in any well drained soil that remains reliably moist. On light soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost to improve soil moisture retention. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.
More Info
Feed and water well until fully established. Sorbus requires virtually no pruning. Simply remove any damaged, crossing or misplaced branches in spring if necessary.
