Grow in full, bright light but protect the plant from direct rays which may cause sun scorch. An average temperature of 13- 23C (50-75F) is ideal. Allow all the soil to dry out between waterings using the ‘drenches between droughts’ method. Soak the plant from the bottom up when the compost is totally dry. Avoid getting water on the foliage and immediately allow the water to drain away completely.

Fertilise every 2 months during the growing season with a cactus and succulent feed. In winter, while the plant is dormant, gradually reduce watering and allow the compost to remain largely dry. Allow temperatures to fall in winter to promote the best chance of flowering.
