Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Video
From late summer, the fiery, open mouthed, scarlet blooms of Salvia x jamensis 'Royal Bumble' are carried on wiry, dark purple stems. Small, aromatic green leaves crowd the bushy stems to form a rounded, dense mound. This perennial Salvia makes a fabulous container plant, and works hard in sunny borders where it will attract masses of bees and butterflies. Although perennial, this half hardy Salvia will appreciate some protection from winter weather. Height: 75cm (29"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. Sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this, so regretfully we are unable to ship live plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3

1 x 2 litre potted salvia plant (80329)
2 x 2 litre potted salvia plants (T80498P)
3 x 2 litre potted salvia plants (T80499P)

Feed and water regularly until fully established. Although perennial, this Salvia will require some winter protection in all but the mildest areas of the UK. When growing Salvia in containers, it can be moved to a cold greenhouse or conservatory over the winter months. Prune lightly in late spring when new growth appears to remove dead stems and maintain a bushy habit.
Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant.
