Double rose pink blooms with a slight fragrance
Repeat flowering, ground cover rose
Extremely disease resistant
Prolific clusters of lightly fragrant, double, rich pink flowers with a central boss of golden stamens are displayed against a lush backdrop of glossy, green foliage.
Rose ‘Pink Flower Carpet’ is a repeat-flowering, ground cover rose that provides an inexhaustible supply of colour from June until the first frosts. Excellent disease resistance and strong, healthy growth makes this rose easy to grow, even in poorer soils and slightly shaded positions. Its spreading growth supresses weeds and provides versatile ground cover cascading over banks, softening walls and spilling from large containers. It can also be trimmed into a low hedge. Rose ‘Pink Carpet’ continues to be one of the most popular of all ground cover roses, boasting outstanding performance and superb health. It has been honoured with multiple awards, appearing in the Rose Hall of Fame and receiving an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 80cm (31in) Spread: 120cm (47in).

Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. If planting is not possible then 'heel them in' by covering the roots with soil until conditions allow them to be planted in their permanent positions.
When growing roses, choose a position in fertile well drained soil in full sun. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose a site that has not been planted with roses in recent years.
Roses are greedy plants so add a small handful of granular fertiliser and mix some well rotted manure or compost into the soil prior to planting. Dig a hole of sufficient width and depth to comfortably accommodate the bareroot plant. Position the plant in the hole so that the base of the stems sits just below soil level. Backfill the soil around the roots of the plant, firm in, and water well.
For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. Remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant below the graft union. In late winter, begin pruning roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce strong young stems by up to a third of their length. Side shoots should be reduced to two or three buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
