New and improved salad potato
We guarantee 35 potatoes per plant when grown in an 8 litre bag. However, customers have reported up to 80 potatoes per plant.
The small potato that packs a big punch! We've been amazed by the enormous yields that this Potato 'Jazzy' produced in our trials - both in the ground and in potato bags. The small waxy tubers are much more versatile than other salad potatoes and literally bursting with flavour - whether you boil, mash, roast or steam them. This exciting new second early variety has been awarded an RHS AGM for its superb garden performance. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Weed between rows and keep potato plants well watered throughout the growing season. If the risk of frost threatens, draw some soil up around the stems to protect them, or move potato bags to a frost free position in a shed or greenhouse. Second early crops can be harvested approximately 13 weeks from planting when the foliage begins to turn yellow and die back.
Plant second early potato crops from March. Prior to planting, 'chit' the seed potatoes by setting them out in a cool, bright position (10C/ 50F) to allow them to sprout.
When growing second early potatoes in the ground avoid planting in soil where potatoes have grown for two years in succession to reduce the risk of disease. Prepare the planting area in a sheltered position in full sun on moist well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure. Plant potatoes in rows at a spacing of 37cm (15"). Rows should be set out 75cm (2', 6") apart. Place the seed potatoes into 10cm (4") deep trenches and backfill the soil to refill the trenches. When shoots reach 20cm (8"), mound up soil around the shoots leaving just a few cm showing. Repeat this process after a further 3 weeks.
Where space is limited, try growing potatoes in potato bags on the patio. Fill an 8 litre potato bag to just below the top of the bag with good quality compost mixed with some well rotted manure. Carefully plunge a single chitted potato tuber into the compost with the shoots pointing upwards at a depth of 12cm (5") from the soil surface. Place the bags in a sunny position and water regularly to keep the compost moist.

Tried these Jazzy potatoes for the first time, absolutely wonderful, prolific crop and so delicious, on a par with Jersey royals if not better. Extremely easy to clean and great as a salad potato but very versatile to go with many other meal options. Will definitely be growing these potatoes again next year.

Superb - even better than Charlotte! 2015-08-16
I grow potatoes on my allotment, but have always grown Charlotte at home in potato buckets as well. This year I decided to try Jazzy instead and was delighted with the results - I didn't count them, but I had lots, and it felt like there were more than I had last year with Charlotte. And the best bit was they tasted even better! Well done T&M, I will be definitely growing these again next year.

Wonderful potatoes 2015-07-26
First time of growing potatoes and the yield was just over 14lbs and they taste really good. The potatoes look really good as well and need very little cleaning. Has certainly encouraged me to grow potatoes again. Thank you T&M.

This variety takes me back to my childhood 2015-07-17
Congratulations and many thanks Thompson & Morgan for your introduction of JAZZY potatoes, they cropped with well over a hundred , clean skin easy scrape tubers from only three seed potatoes. The taste took me back (many, many years) to my childhood when we enjoyed the first new potatoes of the year grown my late father. Will certainly grow again and enjoy an extra early crop.
