This scrambling evergreen shrub makes an exotic addition to the conservatory. The long stems can be trained upwards on a trellis to create a fabulous display. From early summer to autumn, clusters of sky-blue flowers appear among the glossy green foliage. Plumbago auriculata is frost tender so it is best confined to a conservatory or heated greenhouse with a minimum temperature of 5C. Height: 4m (13’). Spread: 3m (10’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Pot up Plumbago plants using a loam based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Grow them on in cool conditions with a minimum temperature of 5C (41F).
More Info
Feed and water Plumbago plants regularly. As the stems grow, tie them in to a trellis or other suitable plant support to guide them upwards. Plumbago is a vigorous grower. Prune as and when necessary to restrict its growth to the available space.
